Overview
- On Friday, August 7, 2026 Foot Locker launched a two-minute cinematic anthem called “It Always Will Be Foot Locker,” narrated by rapper Method Man and released as the campaign’s hero film.
- The spot was produced with creative agency Someplace and traces more than 50 years of sneaker and basketball moments, using iconic models such as the Air Jordan 1, adidas Stan Smith, Converse Weapon, and Nike Air Force 1 to underscore the brand’s legacy.
- Foot Locker said the integrated campaign goes live now across broadcast, out-of-home, social, digital and in-store channels to reach shoppers and culture audiences in its global markets.
- The retailer also announced a partnership with Hartbeat to produce Sole Stories, a 36-episode short-form documentary series that will spotlight creators, tastemakers and sneaker collectors and begin rolling out in the fall.
- Foot Locker frames the effort as a strategic push to translate its 50-plus-year heritage into current relevance, with marketing chief Brett O’Brien calling it a “love letter” to the brand’s role and Method Man stressing the project’s personal authenticity.
