Overview
- Bradford Todd Picariello, 65, was arrested on Jan. 19 in Marathon after selling a kilogram of cocaine to an undercover detective for $10,000, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
- Investigators recovered roughly 23 kilograms of cocaine, about $8,000 in cash, a .40-caliber handgun, and a 38-foot vessel, with several bricks bearing a “332” marking.
- The undercover deal was arranged at Picariello’s boat docked at Burdines Waterfront, where he allegedly told the buyer to bring a cooler to make the pickup look like fish.
- Authorities say Picariello disclosed additional cocaine stored in a local storage unit and consented to a search that yielded nearly two dozen wrapped kilos.
- He faces county charges of trafficking, selling, and possessing cocaine, was reported held without bond, and is set for a Feb. 4 arraignment as federal charges are anticipated.
