Five Hurt in Nottingham Suspected Hit-and-Run as Police Recover Damaged Car

Detectives are appealing for CCTV, dashcam or phone footage.

Overview

  • Officers were called at 2.09am on February 12 to Talbot Street between Wollaton Street and Clarendon Street after reports that a car struck a group of pedestrians.
  • Five people were injured, with three taken to hospital, and their conditions are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.
  • The road remained closed for much of the day, with full access restored at around 5pm after roughly 15 hours of disruption.
  • A linked cordon at a Deptford Crescent car park in Bulwell saw forensic teams examine a recovered “smashed-up” vehicle.
  • Police say those involved were known to each other, describe the incident as isolated, increase patrols locally, and ask anyone with information to quote incident 36 of 12 February 2026.
