Five Arrested in Buenos Aires Over Fake-Police ‘Entradera’ Ring Tied to Moreno Heist

Investigators cracked the crew by extracting deleted WhatsApp audio from a phone left in a failed getaway vehicle.

Overview

  • Prosecutors linked the group to the September 29 raid on a financial office at Acceso Oeste km 41, where thieves posing as PFA/PSA took about US$80,000 and ARS 4,000,000.
  • Eighteen court-ordered raids yielded firearms, a grenade, cellphones, counterfeit police apparel and credentials, a money counter, and a police-frequency radio.
  • Those detained include Ramón Antonio Segovia, Sergio Gastón Fernández, Lucas Tomás Plastina, Rubén Omar Galván, and Federico Eduardo Lescano, with two additional suspects still being sought.
  • The crew used falsified search warrants and police uniforms to stage official operations, fired shots during their escape, and switched vehicles repeatedly after their pickup failed to start.
  • The case drew on wiretaps, digital forensics via UFED, municipal camera and drone footage, biometric checks, call cross-referencing, and Dajudeco support under UFI No. 7 prosecutor Solange Castelli.
