Overview
- Organisers have been installing 24 stages along South Beach, the seafront, promenade, Kensington Gardens and East Point Pavilion as they finalise the programme for the weekend of June 20–21.
- The main beach programme remains free and un-ticketed and will present more than 200 performances and activities, while select Saturday night 'Sundown Events' after 9.30pm require tickets.
- The festival opens with the Moon Parade (Big Bang Boogie) from East Point Pavilion on Saturday along a step-free, wheelchair-accessible route that finishes at Claremont Pier.
- Programme highlights include family shows such as Punch and Judy, aerial silks and circus workshops from Monkey Business Circus, public sculptures by Laurence Edwards, and a Natural History Museum hands-on science project called The Moon and Life on Earth.
- Organisers expect tens of thousands of visitors and have added camping, campervan and glamping options to manage demand, a change that will drive local tourist income and put pressure on services and transport.
