Overview
- On March 3, a 42-wagon Food Corporation of India rake carrying about 25,900 quintals of rice from Punjab arrived at Sairang, with successful unloading confirmed by the Railways.
- Mizoram food minister B. Lalchhanzova and Rajya Sabha MP K. Vanlalvena received the consignment at the station.
- Sairang Terminal has handled more than 30 freight rakes to date, including cement (3.5 rakes), automobiles (2), fertilizers (0.5), stone chips (20.5) and sand (4).
- Passenger demand has surged, with the Sairang–Anand Vihar Rajdhani recording occupancy above 150% as tourist and regional services expand.
