Overview
- A blaze began in a bank of electric meters on the ground floor of a Lawrence Road residential block, which generated multiple emergency calls at about 2:03 a.m. on Monday, June 29.
- Fire crews used two water tenders, two water bowsers, a quick-response vehicle and a Bronto Skylift to fight the fire and evacuate people from the roof.
- Three residents — Gaurav (28), Kaira (25) and Indu Batra (55) — were brought down from the terrace and no injuries or deaths were reported.
- Station Officer Rajender supervised the operation, a 'Stop' message was issued at about 2:30 a.m., and the blaze was confined to 24 electric meters on the ground floor.
