Overview
- Two 3-tier AC coaches, B1 and B2, caught fire at Hyderabad’s Nampally station on Friday evening shortly before the train’s 7 pm departure, and no injuries were reported.
- Firefighters deployed three engines and brought the flames under control before they could reach other parts of the train.
- Railway Protection Force personnel and passengers cleared nearby compartments and helped move people and luggage off the platform.
- The gutted coaches were detached and replaced, and the train left after roughly four hours of engineering and electrical safety checks.
