Overview
- Finnair signed a Monday agreement with Embraer for up to 46 E195-E2 jets, comprising 18 firm orders, 16 options, and 12 purchase rights.
- Deliveries begin in the third quarter of 2027 with three aircraft, followed by six in 2028 and six in 2029.
- The 134-seat E195-E2s will be flown by Nordic Regional Airlines, Finnair’s partner known as Norra.
- Finnair also plans to acquire up to 12 used Airbus A320 or A321 aircraft to replace its oldest A319 and A320 jets over the next few years.
- Finnair signed Pratt & Whitney deals for PW1900G spare engines and maintenance support, and the airline says the E2 cuts per-passenger CO2 by about 30% with a quieter cabin.
