Overview

  • For U.S. deliveries, USPS recommends Dec. 17 for Ground Advantage and First-Class, Dec. 18 for Priority Mail, and Dec. 20 for Priority Mail Express.
  • Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and U.S. territories have earlier dates, including Dec. 16 for Ground Advantage, and post offices will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
  • Royal Mail lists UK last posting dates from Dec. 17 for Second Class to Dec. 23 for Special Delivery Guaranteed, with no collections or deliveries on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
  • FedEx and UPS keep premium options late, including overnight accepted Dec. 23 and FedEx Same Day on Dec. 24, while Evri, Yodel, DPD and Parcelforce deadlines cluster Dec. 19–22.
  • USPS cites peak-season readiness with new processing equipment, added facilities, expanded vehicle fleets and 14,000 seasonal hires, alongside active local job fairs.
