- Group-stage finales for Groups G, H and I are being played Friday, June 26, and will complete the field and bracket for the new Round-of-16 stage introduced at this World Cup.

- Argentina finished top of Group J and is scheduled to play the Group H second-placed team at 19:00 on July 3 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
- Four Round-of-16 ties are already fixed on the schedule: South Africa vs. Canada (June 28), Brazil vs. Japan (June 29), Netherlands vs. Morocco (June 29) and United States vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina (July 1).
