Overview
- FIFA confirmed Friday it will stage separate opening ceremonies before the first matches in Mexico City on June 11, Toronto on June 12, and Los Angeles on June 12.
- The U.S. ceremony at SoFi Stadium will feature Katy Perry with Future, LISA, Anitta, Rema and Tyla ahead of the USA vs. Paraguay opener.
- Mexico City’s show will include Maná, Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Los Ángeles Azules, J Balvin, Lila Downs and Tyla before Mexico vs. South Africa.
- Toronto’s celebration will showcase Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi, Elyanna, William Prince and DJ Sanjoy before Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Each show is slated to begin about 90 minutes before kickoff and last roughly 13–17 minutes, with FIFA also planning July 4 tributes during Round of 16 matches in Philadelphia and Houston.
