Overview
- A Harris County deputy reported a red-light violation around 10 p.m. Saturday at Spring Cypress and Louetta in the Cypress area.
- When the deputy switched on lights and siren, the driver accelerated westbound and turned off the vehicle’s headlights, and the patrol unit briefly lost sight.
- After a short search, the deputy found a fire in the woods near Telge Road where the car had plunged down an embankment and was engulfed.
- One person was ejected and another remained inside the vehicle, and both were pronounced dead at the scene as fire crews extinguished the blaze.
