Field of Dreams Returns: Phillies and Twins to Play in Dyersville on Aug. 13

MLB is reviving the cornfield spectacle to stream on Netflix and to showcase retro uniforms, themed merchandise and expanded programming at the renovated Dyersville ballpark.

Overview

  • The Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins will meet at 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, Aug. 13, in the third MLB at Field of Dreams game and the matchup will stream live on Netflix.
  • Both clubs unveiled special throwback uniforms on Monday with the Phillies in 1939–41–style gray road jerseys and the Twins in 1960s white pinstriped home jerseys, and both teams have made the jerseys and caps available for fans to buy.
  • Philadelphia’s kit features a slanted red “Phillies” script, a navy cap and a replica 1839–1939 centennial sleeve patch, while Minnesota’s set includes navy script with red trim and a ‘Minnie and Paul’ sleeve patch.
  • The Dyersville venue was renovated after the 2022 game and will host supporting events, including a minor-league matchup on Aug. 11 and an Iowa vs. Kansas college exhibition on Oct. 10, as part of a broader multi-use plan.
  • The Field of Dreams game keeps the movie-era touches that fans expect, with players entering through the cornfield and a roughly 7,800-seat park, and it continues MLB’s strategy of staging regular-season games at nontraditional, media-friendly sites.
