Overview
- The Federal Investigation Agency arrested Abdul Wajid, a resident of Ghotki, after he was found using a forged National Assembly appointment letter that bore a forged signature of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
- The letter and the arrest followed public complaints and social media reports, and authorities recovered the forged document during the probe on Saturday.
- The National Assembly Secretariat said Wajid falsely presented himself as a Grade-17 officer, had no employment record with the Assembly, and used the fake identity to obtain privileges and official protocol.
- On the Speaker's direction the Acting Secretary wrote to the FIA and Sindh police to pursue legal action, and investigators are working to trace the origin of the forged letter and identify any co-conspirators.
