Overview
- The Conselho Curador voted to approve the distribution on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, allocating R$13.04 billion which equals about 89% of the FGTS profit for 2025.
- Each worker's credit is calculated by multiplying the balance held on 31/12/2025 by the index 0.01868341, which equals roughly R$18.68 for every R$1,000 in the account.
- Caixa Econômica Federal will post the credits to linked FGTS accounts by 31 August 2026 and beneficiaries can view the amounts via the FGTS app, Caixa internet banking or at branches without needing to apply.
- The sums will increase account balances but cannot be moved to bank accounts or Pix and remain withdrawable only under the legal events such as dismissal without cause, purchase of a home, retirement, serious illness or the saque‑aniversário option.
- With the distribution the fund's 2025 yield rises to about 6.9%, above the 2025 IPCA, and the measure continues the FGTS practice of sharing results that help finance housing, sanitation and infrastructure.
