Overview
- The Fiscalía General de la República executed judge-authorized raids that on June 11 recovered about 1.2 million liters of hydrocarbon at one Reynosa site and roughly 155,000 liters at a second site, and detained two people.
- Investigators also seized dozens of tank trucks, fractanks, tractors and motobombas, plus around 190,000 liters of alcohol that officials say may be tied to illegal fuel handling.
- State teams separately intercepted a tanker carrying 34,729 liters in Celaya and security forces in Puebla recovered nearly 10,000 liters and two vehicles; all seized goods and suspects have been turned over to the FGR for federal probes.
- The operations were carried out by coordinated federal and state units, including FECOR, the Policía Federal Ministerial, AIC forensics, the military, the Guardia Nacional and local police under judicial orders.
- Authorities say investigations will trace the origin of the fuel, map logistics networks and determine criminal responsibility, a process that could disrupt local distribution chains and reduce safety risks from illicit storage and transport.
