Festive Lift Propels India’s Two-Wheeler Sales as Activa, Pulsar Lead and Chetak Tops EVs

October data point to a shift toward higher-capacity motorcycles, with 125cc models losing ground.

Overview

  • Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India sold 598,946 units in October 2025 (+9.11% YoY), TVS Motor reached 421,633 (+7.93%), and Bajaj Auto recorded 250,359 (+2.01%).
  • Honda Activa led scooters with 326,551 units (+22.39% YoY), Bajaj Pulsar topped motorcycle ranges at 152,996 (+36.81%), and TVS Jupiter delivered 118,888 (+8.37%).
  • Bajaj Chetak became the best-selling electric scooter with 34,900 units, outpacing TVS iQube at 31,989 after three months in second place.
  • The 125cc motorcycle category fell to 372,047 units, a 7.82% YoY decline, even as larger-capacity bikes posted stronger growth.
  • Suzuki logged 103,454 domestic units (-1.42% YoY) as Access 125 fell to 70,327 and Burgman Street rose to 27,058, while exports surged 70.74% to 25,807.
