Robert Kubica set a 1:31.739 in the No. 83 AF Corse 499P to lead a Ferrari 1-2-3 in the first practice for the World Endurance Championship at Imola.
Will Stevens put the No. 12 Hertz Team JOTA Cadillac next with a 1:32.183, as Peugeot ran fifth and sixth and Toyota’s new TR010 Hybrid placed seventh with a 1:32.573 from Sébastien Buemi.
Ferrari said its early edge came from qualifying simulations in practice, noting that long-run speed looks tighter across rivals and that tire compound choice could swing the race picture.
New or revised Hypercars logged their first official WEC mileage, with Genesis Magma Racing’s two GMR-001s running within two seconds of the benchmark and Toyota’s updated TR010 completing a productive debut session.
LMGT3 was led by Charlie Eastwood in TF Sport’s Corvette Z06 GT3.R at 1:42.678, edging the Garage 59 McLaren and Heart of Racing’s Aston Martin in a close class fight.
