Federal Police Plane Lands in Bolivia to Repatriate 'Mancha' to Brazil

Overview

• Douglas de Azevedo Carvalho, known as Mancha, was arrested on March 15 in a luxury condominium in Urubó, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, while staying with his wife.
• Agents found a falsified Bolivian ID, a fake Italian passport, and about US$60,000 in cash at the address.
• A Federal Police aircraft has arrived in Santa Cruz to transport him to Brasília before a transfer to Belo Horizonte for custody in the prison system.
• He became a fugitive after violating electronic-monitored house arrest in July 2024 and was later placed on the Justice Ministry’s Programa Captura priority list in December 2025.
• Authorities say the joint Federal Police and Minas Gerais Civil Police operation follows investigations linking him to more than 300 kg of cocaine seized in Portugal in cargo disguised as açaí.
