- The Ministry of Integration and Regional Development, through National Civil Defense, published the recognitions in the Federal Official Gazette on March 13.
- The list spans 14 states and multiple hazards, including intense rains, floods, a windstorm, drought and erosion.
- With the status granted, municipalities may request federal support for actions such as food baskets, drinking water, meals for workers and volunteers, and hygiene, cleaning and dormitory kits.
- Transfers are not automatic and require a municipal work plan filed in S2iD, a technical assessment, and a subsequent ordinance in the Official Gazette authorizing disbursements.
- In Amazonas, Eirunepé and Itamarati were recognized for flooding, residents can request calamity FGTS withdrawals of up to R$ 6,220, and the Juruá River is near record levels in both cities.
