FBI Excavates Everman Backyard in Search for Missing 6-Year-Old Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez

Prosecutors requested the FBI-led dig to recover evidence that could bolster a no-body murder case.

Overview

  • FBI agents dug in the backyard Tuesday at a home on the 3700 block of Wisteria Drive in Everman, using excavators, shovels and canopies as crews sifted dirt.
  • The Dallas FBI office said it is searching at the Tarrant County District Attorney’s request, and Everman’s police chief called the dig the next step with no new lead.
  • The operation seeks remains of Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez, who was last seen in late 2022 and reported missing in March 2023, and whose body has not been found.
  • Investigators tied the home to Noel’s mother, Cindy Rodriguez-Singh, who fled to India in March 2023, was arrested in August 2025, and was extradited and indicted for capital murder.
  • In April 2026, a court found Rodriguez-Singh incompetent to stand trial and ordered her to a state hospital for competency restoration.
