Overview
- Travis William Juhr, 41, was arrested by the FBI in Portland on an allegation of making threats via interstate communications targeting Clark County Commissioner April Becker, a Portland mother and her 13-year-old son, and President Donald Trump.
- Agents executing a search warrant removed two AR-style rifles, a handgun, two shotguns, slingshots, compound bows and Tannerite from Juhr’s residence, according to prosecutors.
- U.S. Magistrate Judge Stacie F. Beckerman resumed a release hearing and directed a mental health assessment to guide whether Juhr remains in custody pending trial.
- An extreme risk protection order approved Feb. 4 to remove guns from Juhr’s home had not been served at the time of court proceedings, and the U.S. Secret Service was notified about social media posts threatening Trump, the affidavit states.
- Prosecutors told the court investigators are also examining possible burglaries at Juhr’s former employer, NW Natural, while noting his social media accounts tied to the threats have been suspended.
