Overview
- Police found the body of a two-year-old girl at a Pyrcroft Road address in Chertsey following a welfare call on Thursday, June 25, and a 31-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene.
- Kevin Kerjean, 31, has been charged with murder, rape of a child under 13 and sexual assault of a child under 13 and has been remanded in custody ahead of a pre-trial hearing set for September 14.
- Surrey Police have confirmed the victim was Kerjean’s daughter and say officers believe the incident happened within a family setting; the force says it is not seeking anyone else in connection with the case.
