Overview
- The crash occurred Saturday around 6 p.m. and killed at least one person, Indiana State Police said.
- The collision happened on I-65 near the 50-mile marker just north of the Seymour exit in Jackson County between U.S. 50 and E 700 North.
- State police closed all lanes in both directions so medical helicopters could land and advised southbound drivers to exit at mile 55 and use State Road 11 to U.S. 50 as a detour.
- Troopers said the wreck involved a semi-truck and that investigators have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
- Crews with the Indiana Department of Transportation reopened the highway about 8:45–9:00 p.m. Saturday and the investigation and scene work remain ongoing.
