Overview
- Ian Gore, 62, died in hospital on January 26, nine days after being injured when a blue Volkswagen Transporter taxi struck his broken-down Peugeot Partner.
- The collision occurred around 6:16pm on January 17 on the A585 near Windy Harbour, close to Poulton-le-Fylde.
- A passerby in his 30s who helped push the van suffered serious injuries but has been discharged; a female passenger in her 60s sustained minor injuries.
- The taxi driver, a man in his 70s, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and was released under investigation.
