Overview
- The family — Aditi Paralkar, Rakesh Pai and their nine-year-old son Sid — fell from their 36th-floor flat at the Uncle/Highpoint tower in Elephant and Castle and died after the incident on May 27.
- Emergency services attended after a 7.29am call and the three were pronounced dead at the scene within about 20 minutes of each other, the coroner recorded at the hearing.
- Assistant Coroner Michelle Haste recorded the adults' deaths as due to 'multiple injuries' but said Sid’s cause of death remains undetermined pending specialist paediatric pathology and further forensic testing.
- Detective Sergeant Simon Monga of the Metropolitan Police said investigators are treating the deaths as unexpected, are carrying out forensic and pathology inquiries, and do not currently seek any other suspects.
