Overview
- Dean DelleChiaie, 35, of Nashua, was arrested Monday and appeared in federal court Tuesday on a charge of interstate communication of a threat.
- U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrea K. Johnstone ordered him detained without bail pending trial, and the felony carries up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine if he is convicted.
- Prosecutors say he sent an April 21 email from a personal account to the White House identifying himself and stating he would “neutralize/kill” the president.
- Court records say he used an FAA-issued computer in late January to search how to bring a gun into a federal facility, past assassination attempts, and the phrase “I am going to kill Donald John Trump.”
- FAA IT reported his request to erase that search history, leading to his suspension and a Secret Service interview in early February in which he admitted the searches and said he owned three firearms.
