Overview
- Every driver on the 2026 Formula 1 grid will pilot an individual, fully drivable LEGO minicar during the drivers' parade about 90 minutes before Sunday's British Grand Prix, with the lap shown on F1 channels.
- Each minicar was made from roughly 28,000 real LEGO bricks, weighs about 280 kg with 65 kg of bricks, and can reach around 25 km/h using standard go-kart wheels.
- A team of 20 designers, engineers and builders at LEGO’s Kladno, Czech Republic facility logged more than 6,400 combined hours to design and construct the 22 cars.
- Each vehicle is liveried to match teams’ 2026 colours and carries the drivers’ race numbers to create a team-specific, on-track display rather than shared cars used in the 2025 Miami prototype.
- The activation builds on LEGO–F1 tie-ups last year, including Miami’s viral parade and LEGO trophies, and is designed to boost the live fan experience and global broadcast build-up during Silverstone’s high‑attendance sprint weekend.
