F1 Announces Three-Day Season Launch Event in Milan

Framed as a way to deepen fan engagement, the event is also intended to widen Formula 1’s global broadcast audience.

Overview

  • Formula 1 announced on Friday that F1 Live Milan will run from 18–20 February 2027 as a three-day city-wide season launch.
  • The programme will pair a Milan Fan Festival across all three days with a one-night headline production called F1 The Show that will feature drivers and team principals from every team and live entertainment.
  • Formula 1 said the exact Milan venue has not been confirmed, tickets will go on sale later in 2026, and fans can pre-register interest now.
  • The promotion explicitly links the Milan event to the success of the 2025 London F1 75 Live show, which drew large live and digital audiences including about 7.5 million social viewers.
  • Organisers say the event is part of a broader push to grow the sport’s fan base and broadcast reach, with the timing chosen ahead of the 2027 season and close to Monza to give fans extra access to drivers and teams.
