Overview
- FuRyu confirmed late Saturday that the EXSTETRA HD remaster will launch worldwide for Windows via Steam on July 30, 2026.
- The publisher said Switch, Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 versions are in development but did not provide release dates or pricing.
- FuRyu has released HD assets including an opening movie and a Steam storefront that lists English and Simplified and Traditional Chinese support.
- EXSTETRA is a 2013 turn-based JRPG set in the fused city Amazea whose core mechanic has the protagonist Ryoma share an energy called EXS with allies by kissing them to power them up.
- The remaster restores access to a game made scarce by past delistings and store closures and could drive renewed interest in Studio Saizensen’s back catalogue and other niche Japanese RPGs being localized.
