Overview
- Following a 2025 pilot that added nearly 100 NACS connectors across 22 metropolitan areas, EVgo plans to surpass 500 NACS connectors and offer access in more than 25 states by the end of 2026.
- The 2026 expansion targets major markets including Austin, Houston, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, and San Francisco.
- EVgo will typically install two to four NACS connectors per site and will track real-world usage to add capacity where demand and uptime support growth.
- Eligible Tesla and other NACS vehicles can start charging via Autocharge+ in the EVgo app without an adapter, and most CCS drivers can also use Autocharge+.
- EVgo reports lab-tested NACS hardware with liquid-cooled cables for high-power charging and says NACS throughput on its network is already increasing.
