Overview
- Eve Air Mobility flew its full-scale eVTOL prototype for Brazil’s president at Embraer’s Gavião Peixoto site on Wednesday.
- Senior officials from ANAC, the science ministry, the ports and airports ministry, and BNDES watched the demo.
- The engineering prototype has completed 35 flights, logged nearly 1.5 hours of flight time, and reached 140 feet above ground.
- Tests so far stayed below 15 knots to validate control laws, rotor efficiency, thermal behavior, and the propulsion model, with expansion to 30 knots planned next.
- Eve is pursuing 2027 certification under ANAC with six conforming prototypes, backed by BNDES financing and Finep grants.
