Overview
- Ethena Labs and TRON DAO announced on Sept. 11–12 that USDe and its staked counterpart sUSDe are now live on the TRON network using the Stargate Finance bridge, allowing users to bridge, hold, and transfer both tokens on-chain.
- The integration uses Stargate to deliver native-like cross-chain transfers so bridged USDe behaves like a TRON-native asset and can interact with destination-chain DeFi protocols without losing composability.
- USDe is a synthetic dollar that keeps its $1 peg through a delta-neutral hedging strategy of collateral plus offsetting futures positions, and sUSDe is the staked, yield-bearing version that shares rewards from that hedging.
- TRON DAO and Ethena say support for TRON’s core DeFi apps, including JustLend DAO and SUN.io, plus wider wallet, exchange, and payment support, will roll out in the coming weeks as part of a targeted DeFi rollout.
- The move extends USDe’s presence beyond a dozen networks and taps TRON’s large user base and high-throughput, low-fee settlement rail, which could widen options for payments, lending, and trading on the chain.
