Estadio 3 de Marzo Renamed Coliseo GNP Seguros as 60% Remodel Targets August Reopening

Promoters say the upgrade positions Guadalajara to host larger tours.

Overview

  • Organizers in Guadalajara said Tuesday the rebrand to Coliseo GNP Seguros is official and construction is about 60% complete.
  • The venue is slated to reopen in August 2026 with event-dependent capacity of up to roughly 30,000 people.
  • A partnership among OCESA, insurer GNP Seguros, and the Autonomous University of Guadalajara is funding and guiding the overhaul, and the site will continue to host university football.
  • Fan-focused changes include a new roof and facade, a redesigned arrival plaza with ticketing, food and merch areas, a beer garden, renovated seating, more restrooms, accessibility routes, and premium lounges.
  • Production upgrades move the stage about 22 meters to the north, add larger backstage spaces, and install new digital screens with a perimeter LED ring, with opening shows planned for Alejandro Sanz, Yuridia, and a joint bill featuring Auténticos Decadentes, Caligaris, and Panteón Rococó.
