- ESPN and the International Dance League announced the media-rights deal on Monday that will put four marquee IDL events on ESPN2 beginning Tuesday, July 28, with each ESPN2 telecast scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
- The agreement mixes sporadic linear airings with streaming access on the ESPN app and ESPN+ in the U.S. and market-specific availability on Disney+ in regions such as Australia/New Zealand, Brazil, South Korea and parts of Asia.
- Because the league tours global cities, ESPN2 broadcasts may be tape-delayed rather than live, and not every IDL event will appear on linear TV.
- The IDL presents a sports-style model with six franchise teams — Brotherhood, Quick Style, Jam Republic, GRV, Royal Family and 1MILLION — competing in a regular season and championship format.
