ESPN Returns to Live PGA Tour With 12 Hours of FedExCup Playoff Coverage
The network will simulcast PGA TOUR LIVE with added cameras, drones and 3D course modeling to move morning playoff windows from streaming to broadcast and raise visibility.

- The PGA Tour and ESPN announced Wednesday that ESPN will carry a total of 12 hours of live FedExCup Playoffs on its primary linear channel across three weeks in August.
- Specific weekday windows are set for each event: FedEx St. Jude Championship from 9–11 a.m. ET, BMW Championship from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. ET, and TOUR Championship from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. ET.
- Those linear broadcasts will be simulcasts of PGA TOUR LIVE but will feature extra cameras, aerial drone shots, enhanced player audio and 3D hole and course modeling while full coverage continues on the ESPN app.
- ESPN studio programming including Get Up, The Pat McAfee Show and SportsCenter will support the broadcasts, and ESPN personalities may appear on the simulcasts produced from PGA TOUR LIVE studios.
- PGA Tour executives said the change reflects growing cooperation among rights partners to make events easier for fans to find, and the move restores ESPN network coverage of the Tour Championship for the first time since 2006.
