Overview
- All tracks at Bautzen station were closed shortly after 14:00 after horses were reported on the railway.
- The alert came just after 13:30, with the animals having escaped from a riding stable in Göda and moving through the station toward Großpostwitz.
- A Bundespolizei helicopter from Chemnitz surveyed the line as federal and state police, firefighters and a Deutsche Bahn emergency manager secured the area.
- The closure was lifted at 15:11 after the owner captured the animals in Obergurig, and no injuries to the horses were reported.
- Regional trilex services on the Bischofswerda–Bautzen/Löbau routes faced heavy delays and partial cancellations during the disruption.
