Ericsson Shifts Stockholm Operations to New Hagastaden City Campus

The company says the campus will centralize R&D, headquarters roles, customer showcases to help attract talent.

Overview

  • Ericsson announced Monday that it has signed leases for five Hagastaden properties totaling about 71,000 square meters, adding to a previously contracted 24,000 sq m Infinity site.
  • The relocation will move Ericsson’s Kista operations, including R&D, business areas, group functions and the Imagine Studio, in a phased process set to begin in early 2028 and to unfold over several years.
  • Leases with Atrium Ljungberg cover Wave, Corner of Ekeblad and Trinity while agreements with Castellum secure Emerald House and Jubileumshuset, and the Infinity development is expected to be ready by late 2027.
  • Ericsson says the urban campus is meant to increase day-to-day collaboration, put teams closer to partners and decision makers, and serve as a visible, customer-facing showcase based on its Imagine Studio model.
  • Investors reacted modestly, with shares up about 1.96%, and the move will require multi-year coordination on construction, employee relocation and finalizing the campus footprint that Ericsson has not yet completed.
