Overview
- Fortnite Status, which confirmed the plan Sunday, said self-service refunds for D4vd-branded items will go live on April 28 and that player support can process refunds now.
- The affected content includes two Jam Tracks (Locked & Loaded and What Are You Waiting For), the Feel It and Trophy Drop emotes, and a personalized bundle released in April 2025.
- Epic has not said the items will be removed or disabled, stating only that refunds are step one and that more changes will roll out over time.
- David Anthony Burke, known as D4vd, was arrested on April 16 and charged in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, and he has pleaded not guilty as his attorney disputes the allegations.
- Fortnite normally limits refunds to 30 days using refund tickets, so these support- and self-service refunds mark an exception that could shape how Epic handles future creator tie-ins.
