Overview

  • Epic rolled out 11 Gold Sprite variants ahead of schedule on Friday, Aug. 21, making the new collectibles available across the Chapter 7 Season 4 map.
  • The developer then ran two Golden Hours sessions on Saturday, Aug. 22 that temporarily increased spawn rates for those Gold Sprites and gave players multiple regional windows to hunt them.
  • During Golden Hours players drop into matches with an additional Portable Extractor and a 1‑Up Token, while Midas’ Masterpiece Pistol appears more often and deals extra headshot damage.
  • The set includes four Rare, four Epic, one Legendary and two Mythic variants, with the Gold Klombo Sprite and Gold Crown Sprite confirmed as the rarest targets.
  • Players face fiercer in-game competition during the events as collect-and-extract loops become more rewarding, and Epic has said it may add more Gold Sprite variants later in the season.
