- Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 introduces Sprites, collectible companion units with unique gameplay effects that players must extract at marked Extraction Sites to unlock for their persistent collection.
- Players choose one starter Sprite—Water, Fire, or Earth—and can find many more named variants that range from common to Mythic, each granting different in-match benefits.
- Gold Sprite variants are extremely rare alternate versions that keep their base ability but award large bonus XP per elimination, while the Punk Sprite is a rare chest-only variant with highly random effects.
- There is no official trading system so the community uses Discord hubs and coordinated in-match extraction swaps to exchange Sprites, and players recover already-unlocked Sprites by spending Sprite Dust.
- Epic’s weekly rotation will temporarily boost Legendary, Mythic and Gold spawn rates, increase extraction rewards and speed Sprite leveling, which should make rare variants easier to obtain and change short-term collection strategies for players.
