EPCOT Joffrey’s Kiosks Add Windows and Screens to Keep Bees Out
The change targets exposed syrup displays, a key bee attractant.
Overview
- Three Joffrey’s booths at EPCOT, which added windows and mesh on Friday, now block bees from the open sides and improve cast member safety.
- The kiosks near Disney Traders, The American Adventure, and World Discovery received windowed frames, and the American Adventure stand added a screen in front of the donut case.
- Service stays the same with open ordering windows, airflow through mesh screens, and the metal side covers still sliding down overnight.
- Bees have swarmed these stands for years because the visible flavored syrups provide concentrated sugar that foragers find and return to again and again.
- Disney has not announced a wider rollout, and other sites, including a mostly enclosed Magic Kingdom kiosk, still saw bee-related limits as recently as November 2025.
