Encanto Ride Entrance Rises at Animal Kingdom’s Tropical Americas

Visible facades now mark the project’s turn from site work to guest-focused construction.

Overview

  • Crews are building the Garden House entry for the Encanto dark ride, with steel framing and a peaked roof visible to the left of the Casita facade.
  • Guests will not enter through the Casita’s front door because the Garden House will act as a covered queue and transition into the house.
  • The ride exit is taking shape on the opposite side, leading near the former Hester & Chester’s shop that Disney is converting into a character meet-and-greet.
  • A new carousel for the land is going vertical near the front of the site, where its steel structure and concrete base are now in place.
  • Disney says the Tropical Americas expansion is targeted to open in 2027, replacing DinoLand U.S.A. with new attractions and refreshed dining such as a hacienda-style Restaurantosaurus.
