Embark Reworks Arc Raiders Expedition With Damage Goals, Drops Stash-Value System

Embark says the shift is meant to reward active play instead of hoarding.

  • Embark Studios will award the five Expedition bonus skill points through total damage dealt instead of stash value, replacing the old hoarding incentive for the coming reset.
  • Following early criticism about limited access, the studio extended the challenge window for this Expedition cycle to give players more time to participate.
  • Embark published exact targets for each point—5,000, 10,000, 30,000, 50,000, and 100,000 damage—and said the top tier equals roughly 20 Bastions destroyed in testing.
  • Damage progress counts per player in co-op, and you do not need to extract for it to register, which pushes teams to share damage rather than letting one player do all the work.
  • Catch-up points still cost 300,000 coins each, and design director Virgil Watkins said the broader skill tree will see significant changes because some skills underperform and skew PvE and PvP balance.
