Eintracht Braunschweig Signs Entrup and Junior to Reinforce Attack

The club added an experienced Austrian centre forward and a young Swiss-trained winger to balance immediate goal threat with long-term pace and dribbling options for the squad.

Overview

  • The club announced on Friday that 29-year-old Maximilian Entrup joined from LASK on a contract through summer 2028 and 20-year-old Junior arrived from FC Basel on a contract through summer 2029.
  • Sporting director Benjamin Kessel said Entrup brings experience, box presence and a proven scoring instinct while offers speed, dribbling and one-on-one threat that fit the team’s offensive plan.
  • Transfermarkt values at about €1.5 million and described him as Braunschweig’s most valuable permanent signing to date, though market values do not necessarily equal transfer fees.
  • Entrup has three Austrian national team caps and produced 12 goals in the 2024/25 season before a lower-scoring follow-up year, while is a Basel academy product who spent six months on loan at FC Midtjylland with limited appearances.
  • Both players will join the large summer recruitment wave at the 2. Bundesliga club and will be integrated into the squad ahead of preseason training, a step Braunschweig says is key to improving its attacking output.
