Einstein Bros. Recalls Mislabeled Honey Almond Cream Cheese in Four States

The cups labeled as plain cream cheese could trigger dangerous reactions in people with almond allergies.

Overview

  • Schreiber Foods recalled 144 six-ounce cups of Einstein Bros. Honey Almond Cream Cheese that were sold in cups labeled as plain at stores in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming.
  • The affected cups can be identified by a Best If Used By date of Jul 21, 2026 with lot code LO, and the lids correctly say Honey Almond while the cup label says Plain.
  • The FDA warned that people with almond allergies face a risk of severe or life-threatening reactions because the allergen is not listed on the cup label.
  • Customers are urged to return the product to Einstein Bros. Bagels for a full refund or discard it, and stores were told to remove the lot from inventory.
  • No illnesses have been reported, and an FDA review found a limited packaging staging issue that has been corrected and contained to this product.
