Edomex Launches Croquetmanía Drive to Supply Shelters for Dogs and Cats

The drive aims to improve shelter conditions so rescued animals can find homes.

Overview

  • Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez announced the state campaign Croquetmanía to gather donations for dogs and cats in government and civil-society care.
  • Thirteen collection centers across the Estado de México are open daily from 10:00 to 16:00 with one site in Metepec operating weekdays only.
  • The campaign is asking for six types of items—dry kibble, wet food, blankets, beds, toys and care articles—to guarantee a dignified stay for animals under Cepanaf and shelter care.
  • Donations will be accepted through July 18 and will be routed to the Comisión Estatal de Parques Naturales y de la Fauna and partner animal-protection associations to support ongoing adoption processes.
  • Officials say the effort is meant to expand a culture of animal protection, reduce travel barriers for donors by covering multiple regions, and improve daily conditions for rescued animals while they await adoption.
