Overview
- The ED’s Lucknow office provisionally attached 75 immovable and two movable assets worth Rs 158.85 crore linked to M/s Rohtas Project Limited under the PMLA.
- All attached immovable assets in the Rohtas matter are in Lucknow and are registered to promoter Deepak Rastogi, associated companies, Vardan Township, benami holders, or Adhyaye Realty Infrastructure LLP.
- The Rohtas probe stems from 33 Uttar Pradesh Police FIRs, with ED alleging undelivered township schemes that promised possession or a 150% refund and diverted buyer funds via associates and benami entities, including mortgages to layer proceeds.
- Separately, the ED’s Jaipur office attached 37 immovable properties and one bank account totaling Rs 15.97 crore in the Apexa Group case, covering land in Bundi, Baran, and Kota and assets linked to Murli Manohar Namdev and others.
- In the Apexa investigation, the ED cites Rajasthan FIRs and alleges Rs 194.76 crore was raised on promises of high returns, sustained by recycling new investor money until COVID-era redemption demands exposed the scheme; both probes remain ongoing.
