ECI Extends Voter Roll Revision in Six States as Bengal Stays on Original Schedule

Overview

  • Deadlines were revised for Tamil Nadu and Gujarat to December 14 with draft rolls on December 19, for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Andaman & Nicobar to December 18 with drafts on December 23, and for Uttar Pradesh to December 26 with drafts on December 31.
  • West Bengal received no extension, its enumeration ended on December 11 and draft electoral rolls are due on December 16.
