ECI Extends Voter Roll Revision in Six States as Bengal Stays on Original Schedule

The poll body posted special roll observers in eight states to strengthen transparency, with Uttar Pradesh securing the longest extension.

  • The ECI says final electoral rolls from this SIR will be published in February 2026, with claims and objections to be processed in the notice phase following draft roll publication.
